Salary: $250,000 – $330,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the company's security posture end-to-end, partnering with engineering on infrastructure and code security.
• Assess security gaps, prioritize them, and lead the implementation of high-leverage fixes.
• Establish a robust incident response framework to ensure breaches are contained and mitigated quickly.
• Drive a cultural shift toward security by introducing controls incrementally and collaboratively.
• Manage the security posture for AI tooling, balancing risk management with enablement.
• Define the roadmap for the security function and lead the hiring of a dedicated team.

Requirements

• Hands-on security experience at a scaled company, ideally as an early security hire.
• Deep expertise in at least one core domain: product/production security, SecOps, or access/identity.
• Engineer's mindset with the ability to read and understand Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud.
• Strong judgment to balance actual risk against best practices and business needs.
• Excellent communication and soft skills to drive change through influence and collaboration.
• Must be based in the Americas.

Nice to have

• Experience building and leading a small security team.
• Experience in Fintech, payments, or other regulated industries.
