Instructional Designer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Instructional Designer (Aerospace): Designing and implementing high-quality training programs for manufacturing, engineering, and operational teams with an accent on translating technical processes into competency-based learning experiences. Focus on building scalable learning paths, creating interactive eLearning content, and ensuring compliance with aerospace regulatory standards.

Location: Onsite (USA). Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), refugee, or asylee to conform to U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR).

What you will do

• Design and maintain instructor-led, eLearning, blended, and on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and safety SMEs to identify training needs and create technical learning solutions.
• Develop competency-based learning paths, qualifications, and certification programs.
• Create instructional materials including videos, job aids, and interactive content using authoring tools.
• Manage training content within the 360Learning LMS and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments.
• Ensure all content aligns with AS9100, OSHA, and export compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience designing instructor-led and/or eLearning programs.
• U.S. Person status (Citizen, Green Card, Refugee, or Asylee) required for ITAR compliance.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and lift more than 50lbs.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Camtasia, or similar authoring tools.
• Knowledge of ADDIE, SAM, or other instructional design methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments (AS9100, ISO).
• Background in developing technical process documentation.
• Proficiency with multimedia tools for video editing and graphic design.
