What you will do
- Lead end-to-end response to product security incidents, including discovery, triage, remediation, and disclosure.
- Own and evolve the PSIRT function, including incident classification frameworks, severity models, and response playbooks.
- Drive Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD) processes and manage relations with external security researchers.
- Build and integrate AI-powered tooling and agentic workflows to accelerate detection and response.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Legal, and Communications during active security incidents.
- Conduct post-incident reviews (PIRs) to translate findings into systemic product and process improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT or Engineering with a strong security focus.
- Hands-on experience leading security incident response in a SaaS or product company context.
- Proven ability to build incident response capabilities (playbooks, runbooks, severity frameworks) from the ground up.
- Experience drafting customer security advisories, CVEs, and public-facing incident communications.
- Ability to read and write code to support forensic analysis, automation, and tooling.
- Must be based in the United States or Canada.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CVSS, EPSS, and Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs).
- Experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, or PNPT.
