Salary: $160,100–$285,100 USD annual base salary, depending on location

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for customer-facing observability and logging systems.
• Build scalable capabilities for metrics, tracing, system health, diagnostics, and analytics.
• Automate operational tasks and improve deployment self-service capabilities.
• Write technical documentation, automated tests, and participate in code and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate across teams on observability tooling and build-versus-integrate decisions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and raise engineering standards across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering backend services in production.
• 8+ years of object-oriented programming experience with Java or a similar language.
• 5+ years designing and operating microservice or event-driven architectures for large-scale distributed systems.
• 5+ years using observability technologies such as Grafana Loki, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, AWS services, RESTful APIs, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to agentic AI, LLM-backed services, agent frameworks, or Model Context Protocol.
• Experience with enterprise HCM, talent, workforce management, or multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Experience improving on-call and incident-response practices at scale.
• Relevant cloud certifications.
