What you will do

• Support daily robotics lab operations by bringing up, maintaining, and troubleshooting robots and data-collection hardware.
• Manage physical inventory, equipment maintenance, and logistics for the lab.
• Provide technical support for production data-collection operations.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to launch new robots and productionize maintenance processes.
• Build uptime, utilization, and failure-mode tracking systems to guide technical prioritization.
• Develop expertise in robotics platforms, 2D and 3D imaging, annotation, sensor fusion, calibration, GPS/INS navigation, and computer vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware laboratories or manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with robotics, AI, and/or computer vision.
• Experience managing operational risk and safely operating robots.
• Strong project management, interpersonal, communication, attention-to-detail, and ownership skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco robotics laboratory.

Nice to have

• Experience developing with Python, C++, Java, or other scripting languages.
• Experience maintaining lab networks and data pipelines.
• Experience with large-hirify.global data collection and controlled experiments.
• Logistics experience or Lean Six Sigma certification.
