What you will do

• Operate and inspect power plant systems, including boilers and air pollution control systems.
• Monitor auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, and turbine generators.
• Interpret data from industrial measuring tools to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment including cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts.
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and ensure appropriate mix in designated pits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience operating boilers and heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule (12-hour days/nights).
• Physical capability to lift/carry 50lbs, work from heights, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to qualify for and wear a full-face respirator.
• Capacity to work consistently in various weather conditions.
