What you will do

• Explore and engineer features from large commercial banking datasets covering loan pricing, relationship profitability, and deal performance.
• Design, prototype, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for pricing recommendations, deal win likelihood, and anomaly detection.
• Build LLM-powered features using prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval over banking data.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to convert commercial banking problems into data science solutions and influence roadmap priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to operate production models and analytics systems.
• Mentor junior data scientists and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and machine learning libraries.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Experience leading end-to-end data science projects from discovery through production.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable code and using version control such as Git.
• Fluent written and oral English; U.S. work authorization required, with no employment visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding-based retrieval.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools.
• Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, or commercial banking.
