What you will do
- Architect and drive the technical roadmap for a production-grade localization ML stack, optimized for real-time performance and robustness.
- Lead the research, design, training, and validation of advanced neural architectures for object detection, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction.
- Own the end-to-end data strategy, including curation, auto-labeling, synthetic data, and active learning pipelines.
- Develop robust metrics and evaluation frameworks for localization performance and system-level reliability across diverse ODDs.
- Evaluate and integrate frontier techniques, including multimodal localization and vision/fusion foundation models.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to translate complex autonomy goals into clear software and system requirements.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience developing and deploying ML/DL models for computer vision or localization at scale.
- Deep expertise in computer vision foundations, BEV-based scene representation, and temporal modeling.
- Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow, and strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- Experience with feature extraction and fusion from imagery, LiDAR, and/or radar.
- Must be based in the USA.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of experience in ML/DL for autonomous driving or ADAS systems.
- Experience using Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for auto-labeling and edge-case detection.
- Working knowledge of SLAM and state estimation concepts.
- Record of publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, or ECCV.
