Sterile Manufacturing Operator

Location: Onsite in Rochester, Michigan, United States. Work schedule: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with overtime as needed; availability for extended hours and six- to seven-day operations may be required. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Salary: $27.36 per hour, plus potential overtime, weekend, holiday, and other applicable pay premiums.

What you will do

• Execute batch cards, SOPs, job aids, and required documentation for assigned sterile manufacturing tasks.
• Inspect filled syringes, identify and sort defects, and perform offline product inspections such as media reading.
• Perform manual packaging operations and replenish packaging supplies to maintain production flow.
• Report unusual or recurring defects to the supervisor, PMO, or Quality Specialist.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, follow safety and health regulations, and support cGMP compliance.
• Assist with training colleagues and contribute to team deliverables and continuous operational performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience.
• Understanding of basic problem-solving methods, mathematics, reading, procedures, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, cGMP, and batch record comprehension.
• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Must not be allergic to penicillin and must pass penicillin allergy testing.
• Corrected 20/20 vision, including color vision, and ability to pass a seeded-syringe inspection test are required.

• Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with engineering software and tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with common AI tools and interest in using them to improve productivity.
