What you will do

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of engineers, fostering an ownership-driven culture.
• Drive the delivery of developer platforms and tools used across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership for frontend (JS, React, React Native) and backend/platform systems.
• Guide the design and evolution of complex, scalable systems across various architecture layers.
• Partner with AI/ML, QE, System Software, and Product teams to align on priorities and execution.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform strategy.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of overall software engineering experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in frontend systems (JavaScript, React, React Native) and backend fundamentals.
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex distributed systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Mateo, CA, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or backend services supporting developer platforms.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven workflows or developer tooling.
• Background in performance profiling and developer ecosystems.
• Experience working in large-scale, multi-team environments.
