Senior Data Analyst (Defense): Developing advanced readiness-based sparing models and predictive analytics for Navy and Department of War programs with an accent on statistical modeling, logistics analysis, data engineering, and lifecycle sustainment. Location: Remote or hybrid in the United States. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance when national security access is required.

What you will do
- Lead advanced data analytics, statistical modeling, and predictive analysis for readiness-based sparing and sustainment decisions.
- Translate executive and business challenges into analytical frameworks, models, and actionable strategies.
- Develop simulation models, data pipelines, and readiness cost-curve analyses using multidisciplinary engineering inputs.
- Extract, assess, and validate data from supportability reports, engineering sources, and authoritative systems.
- Define data processes, business rules, governance standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and clear communication across engineering, analytics, and technical stakeholder groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, data analytics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, logistics analysis, or modeling and simulation.
- Advanced data engineering and readiness modeling experience in the DoD or a comparable complex enterprise environment.
- Expertise in reliability, maintainability, and availability principles and lifecycle sustainment analysis.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required when the position involves national security information.
Nice to have
- Expertise with Opus Suite, including OPUS10, SIMLOX, or CONNECT, or equivalent readiness-based sparing platforms.
- Experience exporting and analyzing data from Navy authoritative systems.
- Supportability analysis and readiness-based spares package development experience.
- Knowledge of the aerospace and defense industry and Department of War policies.
