Salary: $100,300 – $135,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans to validate customer use cases and system-level behavior.
• Execute manual and automated tests for optical modems and telecom-related features.
• Build and maintain lab test environments for product validation activities.
• Develop, debug, and maintain Python automation scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage.
• Troubleshoot product behavior and customer-reported defects through logs, CLI, and APIs.
• Provide technical support for customer demos, field issues, and requirements clarification.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in product verification, system test, or field application engineering.
• Strong proficiency in manual and automation testing.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation using Python.
• Ability to work in a lab environment with physical system configurations and test equipment.
• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Optical Communications.
• Must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OpenROADM and open optical networking standards.
• Familiarity with ROADM architecture and network topologies (ring, mesh, point-to-point).
• Experience with optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), power meters, and BER testers (BERT).
• Understanding of coherent DSP and modulation formats (QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM).
• Knowledge of OSNR, FEC, and WDM/DWDM channel spacing.
