Software Project Engineer

What you will do

• Coordinate engineering, testing, and project teams to deliver programme milestones.
• Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate technical and project meetings and monitor action completion.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, KPIs, and governance activities.
• Coordinate testing, validation, engineering changes, and modification processes.
• Act as a key contact between engineering teams, project management, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering, transportation, rail, infrastructure, or another regulated environment.
• Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams within complex projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
• Experience with project documentation, reporting, governance, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in the rail or transportation sector.
• Understanding of systems engineering, testing, validation, or engineering assurance.
• Knowledge of engineering change control and configuration management.
• Experience working with distributed or international project teams.
