TL;DR
Software Development Engineer II (Backend/Fintech): Building and maintaining the Global Money Movement platform to orchestrate cross-border funds transfers via banking and payment partners with an accent on API design, external integrations, and financial reporting. Focus on designing scalable backend services, ensuring operational health without dedicated QA, and integrating with external financial institutions.
Location: Hybrid in Krakow, Poland (at least 50% in-office monthly).
Salary: zł 245,000 – 275,000 gross per annum

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for global money movement.
- Implement and manage integrations with external banking and payment partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to prioritize and develop business solutions.
- Own the quality and operational health of shipped code in an environment without dedicated QA.
- Create technical documentation, design specifications, and testing plans.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in the interviewing process.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Golang.
- Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- English proficiency: B2 level or higher.
