Senior Go Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Go Engineer (Go/AWS): Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for onboarding flows and internal systems with an accent on scalable microservices, cloud operations, and production-ready delivery. Focus on designing, implementing, deploying, and improving tools and services while collaborating across engineering teams and strengthening testing, observability, and engineering standards.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable and performant backend services and APIs.
• Develop and maintain tools and microservices that support onboarding flows and internal systems.
• Own the full lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, and operations of services and APIs.
• Improve code quality and reliability via refactoring, unit/system testing, and automated deployment/operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering standards, agile practices, and iterative delivery.

Requirements

• Location: must be based in Poland (remote)
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Go.
• Significant experience building and operating cloud-based web services and microservices (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless (AWS Lambdas).
• Strong Linux fundamentals and proven debugging/troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• TypeScript and Kafka knowledge.
• Relational and non-relational database experience.
• Experience with observability/logging and monitoring tools (Datadog, Sumo Logic, Cloudwatch, Sentry).
• Knowledge of frontend development (React or other).
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and GraphQL.
