What you will do

• Design and maintain foundational platform patterns, libraries, infrastructure, and core services for diverse engineering teams.
• Build AWS infrastructure for event-driven applications, Kubernetes-based containerized services, and serverless functions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and ArgoCD, including code promotion and configuration management.
• Implement infrastructure as code and automate application lifecycle management from development through production.
• Instrument observability with CloudWatch and Datadog, while improving performance, scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Create turnkey local development experiences and mentor engineers across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience on a platform engineering team within a product-centric company.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Python application patterns, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
• Experience defining and measuring standards for quality, security, scalability, availability, and operational reliability.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic, product-first approach with a focus on internal developer and customer needs.
• Remote work is limited to the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with RPC architectures and multiple distributed architecture patterns.
• Startup experience and familiarity with evolving platform maturity.
