Database Engineer 3 - Contingent (SQL Server)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, with onsite work required three days per week; candidates must be within a commutable distance. No visa transfer or sponsorship available.

Salary: $55–$60 per hour, approximately $8,800–$9,600 per month.

What you will do

• Support moderately complex database engineering initiatives, deliverables, and enterprise data services projects.
• Analyze database challenges, perform root cause analysis, and define issue resolution paths.
• Design and implement data-related enhancements across development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage complex SQL Server 2019–2022 Always On configurations.
• Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders on compliance, performance, security, stability, and scalability.
• Maintain technical procedures, implementation documentation, and knowledge base materials.

Requirements

• 4+ years of database engineering experience or equivalent education and professional experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Always On, and SSIS, including SSISDB.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte three days per week and live within a commutable distance.
• No visa transfer or sponsorship is available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
