IT Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site, working 5 days per week from the San Francisco or New York office. The role also references supporting the New York or London office.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on IT support for employees across devices, applications, access, conferencing, and workplace technology.
• Own office technology reliability, including wired and wireless networks, hardware and software assets, conferencing, and vendor coordination.
• Administer identity, access, SaaS, endpoint management, and security platforms including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Zoom, Microsoft 365, Kandji, Jamf, or Intune.
• Build scripts, API integrations, event-driven workflows, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD workflows, and identity automation using TypeScript, Python, or another modern language.
• Improve IT operations through monitoring, observability, self-service, automation, support metrics, and AI-enabled ITSM.
• Embed Devin into IT operations with secure integrations and guardrails for AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, technical support, or a related role.
• Onsite experience is required, with the ability to work five days per week from the San Francisco or New York office.
• Hands-on experience with modern workplace IT and meaningful depth in at least two IT disciplines.
• Experience administering identity, SaaS, or collaboration platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Zoom, or Microsoft 365.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts or integrations in TypeScript, Python, or another modern programming language, or apply infrastructure-as-code to IT systems.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wired and wireless networking, troubleshooting, communication, organization, and end-to-end ownership.

Nice to have

• Deep experience with Okta, identity lifecycle management, or identity-as-code.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Git-based delivery, or API integrations.
• Exposure to AI-enabled ITSM, agentic workflows, or support automation.
• Experience with office builds, enterprise networking, conferencing, workplace technology, endpoint management, security posture, or vulnerability management.
