Engineer I, Mobile QA

Engineer I, Mobile QA (Mobile Applications/Cloud/Connected Devices): Testing and improving medical imaging workflows across mobile applications, cloud software, and connected ultrasound devices with an accent on functional coverage, regression quality, and end-to-end product reliability. Location: Hybrid position based in the New York City, NY office, with at least two days per week in the office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Salary: Approximately $85,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Test new features and existing workflows across mobile applications, cloud software, and connected ultrasound devices.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Use the products regularly to validate the complete device-to-mobile-to-cloud experience.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Regulatory, and Quality teams to clarify requirements and identify issues early.
• Document defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual behavior, screenshots, logs, and supporting evidence.
• Verify fixes, improve test coverage and release checklists, and support risk-based release decisions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on software testing experience or equivalent product-focused experience.
• Experience testing mobile applications, web applications, or cloud-connected products.
• Understanding of test planning, test execution, regression testing, and defect management.
• Strong written communication and ability to explain issues clearly and objectively.
• Experience with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira.
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Experience testing mobile applications connected to hardware or external devices.
• Experience creating or maintaining automated tests.
• Experience using logs, browser tools, API clients, or basic SQL for investigation.
