What you will do

• Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of A/B tests and quasi-experiments to evaluate user migration (PS4 to PS5) and marketing campaigns.
• Partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to embed experimentation into development and iteration cycles.
• Apply advanced causal inference methods to evaluate impact when traditional experimentation is not feasible.
• Develop and contribute to centralized experimentation frameworks, tools, and documentation to scale best practices.
• Extract and analyze data from complex systems using SQL and Python to generate actionable business insights.
• Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Master's or PhD in Statistics or Economics preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a data science experimentation-focused role (or 3+ years with a PhD).
• Deep expertise in A/B testing, causal inference, and quasi-experimental methods.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and Python for statistical analysis.
• Broad applied knowledge of statistical techniques and machine learning modeling.
• Must be based in or able to work in San Mateo, CA under a hybrid working policy.
