TL;DR
Senior AWS Data Engineer (AWS/PySpark): Building and maintaining production data pipelines on AWS with an accent on target architecture, data model decisions, and pipeline design. Focus on consolidating and migrating customer data infrastructure using EMR, Glue, and Airflow to ensure production-ready systems.

What you will do
- Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines on Amazon EMR or Amazon Glue.
- Design data models and end-user querying strategies for Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, and Presto.
- Implement and maintain pipeline orchestration using Airflow.
- Collaborate with customer and internal teams to understand data requirements and design effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize pipelines and data models to handle real-world production loads.
- Write PySpark and SQL scripts for ETL processes and document technical decisions for stakeholder sign-off.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with PySpark and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience building data pipelines using Amazon EMR or Amazon Glue.
- 2+ years of experience with data modeling using Redshift, Snowflake, Athena, and Presto.
- 1+ years of experience with pipeline orchestration using Airflow.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- AWS Data Analytics Specialty Certification.
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
