Chief Compliance Officer, Swap Dealer (Crypto)

Location: Hybrid-based in New York City, NY or San Mateo, CA

Salary: $191,000–$252,000 annual compensation in the New York City Metro area, plus bonus, equity, benefits, and applicable relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Advise on and enhance the Swap Dealer Compliance Program, including policies, procedures, controls, and governance.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries, audits, examinations, and investigations while liaising with the CFTC and NFA.
• Manage non-compliance incidents, issue tracking, remediation, and escalation reporting.
• Identify and resolve conflicts of interest and provide reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Develop and conduct periodic testing to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Develop and deliver Swap Dealer compliance training for relevant personnel and compliance teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of legal or compliance experience, preferably in financial services, a law firm, consulting, or a regulatory organization.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and executing a Swap Dealer compliance program at a registered Swap Dealer.
• Strong knowledge of the Dodd-Frank Act and applicable CFTC, NFA, and FRB regulations.
• Experience interacting with regulators and reporting to senior management, executive boards, and regulators.
• Experience managing teams across geographic regions and handling multiple complex projects.
• Knowledge of over-the-counter derivatives sales and trading, especially foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives.
