Senior PHP Developer (Blockchain)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the world, or onsite in Tbilisi. Relocation support is available for moving to Tbilisi.

What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture of the master and broker CRM platform used in SaaS and on-premise deliveries.
• Analyze architectural decisions, identify scalability limitations, and address architectural technical debt.
• Implement spec-first APIs, standardized error models, and backward-compatible API contracts.
• Prepare and support the gradual extraction of new Golang services from the CRM platform.
• Develop and maintain business-critical backend components and review code for architecture, quality, and maintainability.
• Participate in technical discussions and challenge existing solutions through complex architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience with PHP, including PHP 8+ and Symfony.
• Strong architectural principles and experience designing, evolving, and operating high-load backend systems.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including query optimization, indexing, isolation levels, locking, and performance troubleshooting.
• Production experience designing and supporting scalable, backward-compatible APIs.
• Practical experience with Golang and its ecosystem, including Kafka, Redis, WebSockets, and gRPC.
• Experience with systems evolving simultaneously as SaaS and on-premise products.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenAPI or similar spec-first approaches, API contract and error model standardization, and gradual service extraction from monoliths.
• Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, production debugging, observability, static analysis, and automated refactoring tools.
• Knowledge of Symfony components such as Doctrine, DI, Serializer, Validator/Forms, Security/Voters, and Messenger.
• Experience with distributed systems, integrations, architectural RFCs or ADRs, API Platform, or AI-assisted developer tools.
