Node JS Developer (Node.js)

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia; hybrid work with regular office collaboration

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable Node.js backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Design integrations with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers, third-party services, and external APIs.
• Improve backend architecture, scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Implement real-time features such as WebSockets and support integrations with mobile applications.
• Write clean, reusable, testable code and contribute to unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and API guidelines.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years of backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design, backend architecture, scalability, microservices, distributed systems, and API security.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Jest, Mocha, Supertest, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nest.js, monorepo setups, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, asynchronous processing, OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and OWASP principles.
• Leadership, mentoring, and strong ownership skills.
