Information Security Manager

TL;DR

Information Security Manager (Cloud Security/InsurTech): Building and evolving hirify.global’s information security strategy, policies, standards, and controls with an accent on risk management, cloud-native operations, and business continuity. Focus on identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening operational security practices, and applying GenAI to improve security management as the organisation scales.

Location: Hybrid role based in London, with travel to Fleet when needed. Office and remote work are combined each week.

What you will do

• Coordinate, define, and improve the information security strategy in line with business requirements and executive policies.
• Identify, assess, and manage security risks across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and control documentation.
• Ensure employees understand and follow effective security practices.
• Maintain security standards and controls across IT services, including vulnerability scanning and software patching.
• Scale the security function and explore the use of GenAI to improve risk management and security practices.

Requirements

• Professional background in information security.
• Proven experience in an information security management role.
• Experience implementing operational best practices through policies, standards, and controls.
• Experience working in a cloud-native organisation.
• Ability to support business continuity and reliable service operations.
• Strong documentation skills covering controls, standards, and procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience using GenAI to improve organisational security practices.
• Knowledge of privacy and data protection.
• CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or another relevant certification.
• Strong project and programme management skills, including delivery through agile or hybrid-agile methodologies.
