What you will do

• Own the active learning cycle by designing experiments and managing CRO partners for synthesis and testing.
• Translate nuanced biological requirements into priorities for data construction, modeling, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with engineering to build biology-specific agent skills and automated experimental decision-making workflows.
• Identify biological phenomena for model sensitivity and ensure experimental findings shape model learning.
• Stay current with biological literature to identify new problems and opportunities for model development.

Requirements

• PhD in computational biology, biophysics, structural biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of post-doctoral or industry research experience.
• Deep understanding of protein biology, protein-ligand interactions, and structure-function relationships.
• Experience with protein language models or machine learning applied to biological sequences.
• Strong programming skills in Python for building computational pipelines and analysis tools.
• Must be based in or able to work from New York.

Nice to have

• Structural biology expertise including protein structure analysis.
• Experience with active learning or iterative experimental design in drug discovery.
• Hands-on wet lab experience.
• Experience across multiple therapeutic modalities, including peptides.
• Ability to write code that automates biological analysis workflows.
