Senior Lawyer (Real Estate & Corporate, Cyprus Law)

Location: Cyprus-focused role involving Cyprus authorities, real estate assets and Cyprus entities

What you will do

• Lead real estate transactions from structuring through closing, advising management and investors on legal risks and transaction structures.
• Conduct and oversee legal due diligence on real estate assets and property holding companies, including title, encumbrances, planning status, permits, zoning and utilities.
• Draft, review and negotiate sale and purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, reservation agreements, escrow arrangements, security documents and related documentation.
• Liaise with the Cyprus Land Registry, Planning and Building Authorities, Tax Department and other regulators to resolve real estate and corporate matters.
• Handle lease and operational matters, including landlord–tenant issues, disputes and long-term or short-term use arrangements.
• Advise on real estate tax matters and provide corporate governance support to Cyprus entities in cooperation with finance, tax, investment and operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including at least 3 years focused on real estate law in Cyprus.
• Deep knowledge of Cyprus real estate and corporate law, including construction and urban planning, leases, sales and mortgages.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions under time pressure.
• Strong working proficiency in English and either Russian or Greek, both written and spoken.
• Law degree from a recognised university, high ethical standards and the ability to manage matters independently through completion.

Nice to have

• Membership in the Cyprus Bar Association.
• Experience with Cyprus labour and migration law, including employment contracts, work permits and immigration matters.
• Greek-language skills for dealing with authorities and reviewing Greek-language documentation.
• Experience managing or mentoring a small legal team.
• Background in a reputable real estate, corporate or commercial law firm.
