What you will do

• Act as the first user of new features by configuring software, testing usability, and validating documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, QA, customer success, and support teams to understand functionality and customer pain points.
• Write and maintain user guides, tutorials, API references, quick-start guides, and release notes.
• Document APIs and integrations for developers and system administrators.
• Create screenshots and visual aids while identifying software bugs, UI/UX issues, and functionality gaps.
• Help manage the documentation lifecycle, content roadmap, publishing, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a technical writer, documentation specialist, or similar software-product role.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and using enterprise software, preferably SaaS.
• Precise written English and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, product management, and QA teams.
• Writing portfolio demonstrating clear technical explanations.
• Basic scripting skills with Bash or Python and the ability to call APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience in QA, software testing, or support engineering.
• Experience documenting REST APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI or Postman.
• Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows using Markdown, reStructuredText, Sphinx, or MkDocs.
• Familiarity with Linux.
