TL;DR
Senior System Engineer (Aerospace): Supporting the full technical development of satellite missions from early concept and requirements through launch and in-orbit commissioning with an accent on system-level coordination, interface management, and technical baseline control. Focus on designing spacecraft systems, resolving multidisciplinary engineering trade-offs, and ensuring successful assembly, integration, validation, launch, and commissioning.
Location: Onsite at the office in Renens, Switzerland.

What you will do
- Plan technical activities, schedules, costs, budgets, risks, opportunities, and resolution plans.
- Manage functional analysis, mission analysis, system modes, specifications, requirements, interfaces, and engineering databases.
- Coordinate spacecraft and software subsystem design while controlling multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Lead technical assessments, trade-offs, system sizing, baseline definition, and change control.
- Plan and follow system, spacecraft, and Ground Segment development, validation, AIV/T, launch, and in-orbit commissioning.
- Maintain engineering documentation and improve the company-wide systems engineering process.
Requirements
- Degree at BSc or MSc level in Aerospace, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- More than 10 years of experience in the spacecraft industry.
- Experience decomposing system requirements, conducting trade studies, and developing sizing or error budgets for spacecraft systems.
- Familiarity with the complete space-program lifecycle, from business development and proposals through design, development, assembly, testing, and delivery.
- Confidence leading multidisciplinary project teams and tracking multiple critical activity streams.
Nice to have
- Expertise in spacecraft system design, avionics, electrical and power systems, attitude and orbit control, propulsion, thermal and mechanical systems, AIT, LEOP, in-orbit operations, manufacturing, launcher interfaces, or FDIR.
- Experience defining and designing LEO, MEO, or GEO spacecraft systems.
- Experience interacting with institutional and commercial customers, including UKSA and ESA.
