TL;DR
Senior Azure/Fabric Data Engineer (Azure/Microsoft Fabric): Assessing and designing a modern Azure + Microsoft Fabric data platform for Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and Quality/Manufacturing with an accent on scalable architecture, medallion/metadata-driven ETL/ELT, and cost/performance trade-offs. Focus on integrating multiple ERP/manufacturing/quality systems and defining Power BI semantic models and data governance standards.
Location: Remote (Europe-based candidates only); Turkey - Remote; Ukraine - Remote

What you will do
- Assess the current Azure and Microsoft Fabric data environment and existing data estate
- Define target data architecture and an implementation roadmap
- Design medallion and metadata-driven ETL/ELT solutions
- Evaluate Microsoft Fabric capacity, performance, and operating costs
- Integrate data from ERP, manufacturing, and quality systems (e.g., Business Central, TrackWise, SAP ECC6 extracts)
- Design Power BI semantic models and data-governance standards; support hands-on implementation after discovery
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or data platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Gen2
- Practical commercial experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse components)
- Advanced SQL/T-SQL skills
- Experience with Power BI (DAX, Tabular modelling, semantic models, dimensional modelling)
- Strong English and client-facing communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with Fabric capacity monitoring, SKU sizing, or cost optimization
- Experience with Python or PySpark
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Purview, Databricks, Synapse, and/or pharma/manufacturing or GxP environments
