What you will do
- Develop and optimize high-plex imaging assays that capture multiplexed readouts of cell state and morphology.
- Create computational approaches to expand information extraction and improve imaging-based measurement quality.
- Design and execute large-scale compound screens across diverse, disease-relevant model systems.
- Apply single-cell and multi-omics analyses to build maps of perturbation relationships and prioritize compounds.
- Leverage laboratory automation and high-throughput workflows to iteratively design and run screens at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary scientists and contribute to high-impact scientific publications.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in single-cell genomics, imaging, bioengineering, biophysics, quantitative biology, or a related field.
- Proven track record of excellence with at least one first-author paper in a leading peer-reviewed journal.
- Strong hands-on experience in microscopy and quantitative imaging.
- Computational expertise in image analysis and machine learning.
- Fluency in programming with Python or a comparable language.
- Ability to work onsite in South San Francisco, CA.
Nice to have
- Experience developing or deploying multiplexed imaging assays.
- Experience with AI/ML applied to imaging or high-dimensional biological data.
- Knowledge of laboratory automation, liquid handling, and high-throughput workflows.
- Experience analyzing large-scale perturbation datasets and integrating multimodal data.
