Senior Oracle Cloud Architect (Oracle Cloud)

Location: Remote from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, or the Netherlands; ideally from Germany, the United Kingdom, or the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud ERP environments, integrations, configurations, architecture standards, and application infrastructure.
• Maintain database and application availability, sizing, performance, monitoring, tuning, health checks, storage, networking, security, and issue resolution.
• Perform DBA operations including maintenance, cloning, upgrades, patching, tablespace and object management, access control, audits, backup, recovery, and version control.
• Execute Oracle Cloud upgrade cycles, maintain quarterly release schedules, support migrations and integrations, and reduce cutover downtime through process improvements.
• Support Oracle ERP applications, developers, custom coding, code migration, workflows, concurrent processing, queries, users, and concurrent requests.
• Design and test disaster recovery, backup, data integrity, patch management, and security improvements while collaborating with Infrastructure, Security, IT, application teams, and developers across geographies and time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Cloud Engineer managing OCI platforms.
• Experience executing Oracle Cloud upgrade cycles and reducing cutover downtime through process improvements during upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of OCI architecture, concurrent managers, workflows, and application infrastructure.
• Excellent knowledge of cloning, patching, backup, and recovery for ERP applications, plus hands-on backup management and recovery techniques.
• Experience with ODI, FAW/ADW, performance tuning, and SQL profiling.
• Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery plans.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP system administration.
• Unix shell scripting experience with Oracle ODA and OVM environments.
• Strong ability to work across multiple teams, geographies, and time zones.
