Platform Engineer (Rust)

Location: Remote-first; work from anywhere

What you will do

• Build and maintain core platform components in Rust, including exchange and broker gateways, data pipelines, monitoring tools, and algorithmic trading infrastructure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into platform features with product, trading, and engineering teams.
• Optimize latency, throughput, stability, and determinism using measurements and load testing.
• Implement observability through metrics, logs, tracing, alerts, and dashboards.
• Investigate trading-loop incidents, identify root causes, document findings, and implement lasting fixes.
• Maintain automated and manual testing, integration suites, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building low-latency, high-reliability systems.
• Extensive experience with Rust.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, data structures and algorithms, concurrent and parallel programming, distributed computing, and performance optimization.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a focus on readable, maintainable code and effective testing.
• Ability to own tasks through production and remove technical blockers.
• Higher technical education or equivalent professional experience.
