Technical Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Malaysia (must work from the office at least 3 days per week)

What you will do

• Own a product vertical (payments, remittance, insurance, or wealth) end-to-end, from strategy and roadmap to delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering on technical designs, focusing on idempotency, ledgering, reconciliation, and failure paths.
• Manage regulated constraints including licensing, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, and data privacy.
• Implement AI features where they add genuine value, ensuring all outputs are traceable to real records.
• Coordinate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, and Finance to clear launch gates.

Requirements

• Significant experience owning complex technical products end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of system design, including APIs, datastores, queues, and concurrency consistency.
• Experience in regulated high-consequence domains like payments, banking, or insurance.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based products and AI evaluation metrics.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Must be based in Malaysia for hybrid office attendance.

• Background as an engineer or highly technical PM.
• Experience with zero-to-one product launches.
• Proven track record of shipping AI-heavy consumer products.
• Previous experience in the Southeast Asia (SEA) market.
