Location: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area

Salary: $220,000 – $275,000 + equity

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, scientists, and researchers investigating platform abuse vectors and adversarial patterns.
• Define a strategic roadmap to prioritize and disrupt high-impact abuse operations through research and live experimentation.
• Collaborate with the safety machine learning team to identify threat signals for long-term automated countermeasures.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Legal to influence safety-by-design decisions.
• Drive the adoption and development of high-impact infrastructure, such as automated rule engines and agent moderation tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years of people management experience leading technical teams (engineers, data scientists, or analysts).
• 4+ years of experience in the Trust & Safety domain (fraud, spam, scams, or account compromise).
• Fluency in SQL and/or Python for data investigation and pattern analysis.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with expertise in measurement and experimentation.
• Proven ability to drive automation adoption within incident response workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical topics for senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience using LLMs or AI agents for investigation automation and signal triage.
• Background in threat intelligence research and understanding of internet infrastructure.
• Experience tackling scaled abuse at large social platforms or high-volume consumer products.
• Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
