Data Engineer

Salary: $148,750-$175,000 (US locations only)

The Pagoda Data Platform team is looking for a Data Engineer to build and scale our data infrastructure to empower our core products and product analytics.

Overview

You will be building and scaling the data infrastructure for core products and product analytics, focusing on data lakes, data marts, and pipelines for both on-chain and off-chain data.

What you will do

• Architect and manage data lakes and data marts (BigQuery, DataBricks).
• Create and manage data pipelines for on-chain and off-chain data.
• Automate data quality monitoring and alerting.
• Optimize time to insight and create data marts for data products.
• Create data extraction tools using Python, JavaScript, SQL, and Rust.

Requirements

• Experience building and managing data lakes.
• Experience in GCP and/or AWS data infrastructure products.
• Fluency in writing complex analytical SQL queries.
• Strong communication and remote friendly working skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related field is a must.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of DataBricks and BigQuery technologies.
• Knowledge of product analytics tools such as Segment, FullStory, MixPanel or Amplitude.
• Familiarity with crypto or blockchain technologies.
• Experience working at a startup.
