Data Engineer

What you will do

• Build and maintain data marts, materialized views, and pipelines within AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Support data integration between core systems and downstream platforms like MicroStrategy.
• Design and optimize data workflows for analytics and operational decision-making.
• Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot performance or data quality issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams on data-driven features.
• Ensure compliance with federal security requirements including FISMA and NIST 800-53.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience building and maintaining data marts or ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative Agile environment.
• Clear communication skills for documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with enterprise reporting or BI tools such as MicroStrategy.
• Understanding of data security and governance in federal or regulated environments.
