Senior Protocol Engineer

Salary: $300,000 – $550,000 (base salary and equity)

Eclipse is building the fastest Ethereum Layer 2, powered by the Solana VM.

Overview

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will oversee performance improvements to the SVM execution environment and the core protocol of Eclipse Mainnet. You'll implement optimizations to the SVM execution environment with the purpose of increasing throughput while minimizing costs. You'll also benchmark changes in protocol architecture.

What you will do

• Implement optimizations to the SVM execution environment.
• Implement and optimize core protocol level changes using Rust.
• Benchmark changes in protocol architecture.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in research and development in the crypto space with contributions to protocol design and implementation.
• Professional Rust experience.
• Deep understanding of networking, databases, protocol design, and decentralized networks.

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware acceleration.
• Knowledge and experience with core Solana development.
