Location: Hybrid, San Jose, CA, USA (3 days onsite)

Salary: $115,500 - $165,000 USD

Zscaler is a leading cybersecurity company operating the world’s largest security cloud platform.

Overview

Join the Cloud Platform and Architecture team as a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to develop tools and automate solutions managing large-scale distributed infrastructure. This role reports to the Director of Site Reliability Engineering and supports mission-critical services.

What you will do

  • Manage and maintain large-scale distributed systems using infrastructure-as-code
  • Develop and enhance automation tools for deployment and service management
  • Diagnose and resolve system issues through code and infrastructure adjustments
  • Support mission-critical services and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

  • Location: Hybrid role with 3 days per week onsite in San Jose, CA, USA
  • English: Proficient (default for English posting)
  • 5+ years experience in SRE roles supporting mission-critical production systems
  • Proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, or Rust
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent
