Data Applications Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Space Coast, Florida, United States

Base pay range: $141,162.00–$197,626.80 annually for Washington applicants; ranges may differ by site.

What you will do

• Design and build data models for Lunar program planning, configuration tracking, scheduling, and technical performance.
• Create dashboards and key metrics for program leadership, business reviews, and decision-making.
• Develop automated data pipelines using Python and SQL for engineering, supply chain, configuration management, production, and operations.
• Partner with budget owners and technical teams to gather analytics requirements and deliver self-service reporting.
• Lead data modeling for cross-functional analyses across multiple Lunar programs.
• Establish data quality standards and documentation practices to support team scalability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of SQL experience, with Python experience; Spark is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience using GenAI tools to generate, review, and deploy code, especially for data reporting tools.
• Professional experience with visualization tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience gathering requirements from customers and presenting data solutions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control regulations.
• Ability to complete the required background check.

Nice to have

• Experience building models and reports with Databricks.
• Git and GitLab experience, including branching, merging, CI/CD, variables, and deployment.
• Experience with Python, DBSQL, Spark, AWS infrastructure, and tools such as ECS, RDS, or Lambda.
• Experience with hierarchical data structures, hardware bills of materials, and production plans.
• Domain knowledge in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, or aerospace.
