Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States
Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year plus equity

What you will do
- Develop reliable data solutions used across factory operations, engineering, and mission control.
- Design and evolve data structures that improve spacecraft design, manufacturing, and operations.
- Partner with engineers, business stakeholders, and leaders to understand challenges and deliver efficient solutions.
- Own data solutions from concept through full product delivery.
- Lead data architecture, optimization, integrity, accuracy, and design tradeoff decisions.
- Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, or another STEM discipline, or 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with data modeling, schema design, data migration, normalization, serialization, ETL, and real-time or near-real-time replication.
- 8+ years of experience with structured databases such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
- 5+ years of experience with hosted databases including AWS RDS and AWS PostgreSQL, plus 3+ years of CI/CD deployment experience.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB, and REST APIs.
- Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.
Nice to have
- Experience with distributed data design, including caching, sharding, and data validation.
- Experience with public cloud data warehouses, manufacturing data systems, or AWS Redshift analytics.
