Senior Accountant, Outsourced Accounting - Healthcare Industry Clients (Healthcare)

Location: Southfield, Michigan; remote work available from anywhere in the United States

Salary: $74,000–$100,000 annual base pay, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Provide assistant controller-level accounting support to healthcare industry clients.
• Manage financial reporting accuracy, complex general ledgers, account classifications, and balance sheet reviews.
• Prepare and review monthly reporting packages, KPIs, work papers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and finalize month-end close activities.
• Coordinate client project tasks, cross-team collaboration, and accounting assignments.
• Support best-practice development and maintain client procedure manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience focused on financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Full-cycle accounting experience in healthcare settings such as physician practices, skilled nursing, hospitals, or clinics.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
