Sr. Director, External Communications

Location: Must be based in Stamford, CT

Salary: $170,537 - $210,654

What you will do

• Develop and execute external communication plans to drive corporate reputation and thought leadership.
• Partner with HR, Sales, and Sustainability teams to produce audience-relevant communications.
• Oversee quality control for all external materials, including press releases, op-eds, and executive talking points.
• Manage the Corporate Communications agency of record and media strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with key business and trade reporters.
• Track and analyze communications impact using data and industry metrics.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate communications, including matrixed organizations and agency/political campaign work.
• Strong English language skills required for customer communication and team collaboration.
• Proven track record of placing strategic stories in business and national press.
• Experience managing agencies and serving as a corporate spokesperson.
• Deep understanding of digital and social media strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree is a plus.
