What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and services using Python and modern engineering frameworks.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to load data into cloud-based platforms.
• Architect and implement data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP utilizing managed services.
• Design and tune relational and NoSQL databases to support high-volume, high-availability workloads.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in data engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering to implement data-driven solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a related field or an advanced degree (Masters or higher).
• Strong proficiency in Python, including OOP, modular development, and production-quality coding.
• Experience developing Python-based backend services with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience in Mortgage Servicing or Financial Services is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with big-data technologies such as Databricks, Spark, or Dataproc.
• Familiarity with data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Knowledge of Java, R, Ruby, Scala, or C++.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicer technology ecosystems.
