Partner Network Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in Manchester (office days: Monday–Wednesday) with regular travel to partners across the network.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end relationship and performance of the UK Manufacturing Partner network.
• Conduct regular site visits and audits to represent the company and provide direct performance feedback.
• Negotiate optimal commercial terms regarding cost, lead times, and invoicing.
• Analyze operational data to make strategic decisions on adding, removing, or expanding partners.
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Engineering to close capability gaps and optimize network coverage.
• Maintain accuracy of partner data and legal documentation including NDAs, SLAs, and audit records.

Requirements

• Must be based in Manchester and comfortable with a hybrid work schedule and regional travel.
• Strong technical grounding in mechanical engineering (degree or equivalent) with the ability to read drawings and judge manufacturability.
• Working knowledge of core processes: laser cutting, bending, CNC machining, welding, and assembly.
• Proven commercial instincts and experience in professional negotiation.
• Ability to translate operational performance data into strategic network decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a contract manufacturer, fabrication shop, or engineering service provider.
• Background in strategic sourcing, category management, or supply-base management.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
• Experience working in a scale-up, marketplace, or digital manufacturing platform.
