Support Engineer (Pulp & Paper)

Location: Owensboro, Kentucky, United States of America; onsite role with travel throughout the assigned territory

Expected compensation: $70,250–$103,026 annually, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Support pulp and paper customers by optimizing chemical treatment programs and mill processes.
• Conduct testing, monitoring, and analysis of manufacturing processes and chemical applications.
• Troubleshoot process upsets, quality issues, pumps, chemical feed systems, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment.
• Analyze operating data and recommend improvements to productivity, efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
• Manage chemical inventories and support product deliveries to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Prepare service reports and collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and Account Managers on retention and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in pulp and paper manufacturing, specialty chemicals, process engineering, paper science, or a related industrial environment.
• Understanding of paper machine operations, process chemistry, or mill support functions.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot pumps, feed systems, instrumentation, and related equipment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
