DevOps Engineer (SAS Viya)

Location: Katowice, Poland (Zabrska 19)

Salary: 9,600–17,000 PLN gross core range; 17,000–21,000 PLN gross exceptional range for advanced SAS expertise and broader ownership.

What you will do

• Configure and maintain SAS components to support onboarding of analytical and risk models.
• Support the publishing, versioning, deployment, scoring, and operational lifecycle of models.
• Manage SAS platform artefacts, including libraries, caslib-equivalent structures, folders, authorisations, and access controls.
• Use SAS CLI and existing automation frameworks for routine tasks and semi-automated deployment flows.
• Monitor SAS-related services, analyse logs, identify bottlenecks, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve operational procedures, documentation, and knowledge bases while participating in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Experience administering SAS environments, including SAS 9, SAS Viya 3.5, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of SAS component configuration, platform operations, libraries, folders, access control, and model workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot model execution, data access, platform configuration, and user workflow issues.
• Working knowledge of SAS CLI, basic scripting, automation patterns, and CI/CD concepts.
• Basic Azure knowledge, such as Azure DevOps pipelines or Azure SQL Database, with willingness to develop further.
• Good written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Azure SQL, ADLS, Azure Fabric, or other analytics components.
• Experience supporting users in analytical or modelling environments.
• Experience operating and maintaining Oracle or Azure SQL databases.
• Understanding of security standards, access control, and data governance.
