TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure): Building, testing, and deploying cloud services, infrastructure components, and tools for Caterpillar’s digital products with an accent on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and cloud problem-solving. Focus on designing reliable deployment pipelines, orchestrating applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and integrating API and datastore technologies.
Location: Kosice, Slovakia
Salary: €3,000+ gross per month; base minimum pay of €32,976 per year; performance-related annual cash incentive.

What you will do
- Build, test, and deploy tools and applications for ’s digital products.
- Work on complex systems and infrastructure components.
- Solve technical problems in cloud environments and identify effective resolutions.
- Develop and deliver cloud services and tools.
- Maintain high software quality standards within the team.
- Collaborate with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.
Requirements
- Knowledge of software product lifecycles and experience designing, configuring, and integrating technical solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- Experience supporting and deploying software on public clouds such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code, with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration or deployment tools such as Puppet or Chef.
- Experience working in an Agile framework, ideally Scrum.
Nice to have
- Experience with API proxies such as Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway, or Azure API Gateway.
- Knowledge of Swagger, Postman, Assertible, and datastores such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, or Oracle.
