Python Data Engineer / Backend Developer (Automotive)

🚀 We’re Hiring: Python Data Engineer / Backend Developer

🌍 Location: Hybrid — Warsaw, Poland (3 days/week in the office)

⚠️ This position is available only for candidates based in Poland.

We are looking for an experienced Python Data Engineer / Backend Developer to join an international team and help build scalable data platforms, backend services, and integrations supporting vehicle pricing and recommendation solutions.

📋 Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Apache Airflow
• Build and maintain Python-based backend services and REST APIs
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the platform’s canonical data model
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs and event-driven architectures
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code while supporting monitoring and data validation processes
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable pricing and recommendation solutions
• Support Angular frontend development for pricing and recommendation features (preferred)

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience with Python backend development or data engineering
• Strong Python skills, including Pandas and FastAPI or Flask
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
• Hands-on experience building and orchestrating data pipelines with Apache Airflow
• Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
• Good understanding of API design and system integration principles
• Strong communication skills and experience working in international teams
• Fluent English

➕ Nice to Have

• Full-stack development experience, particularly with Angular
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms and containerization technologies
• Knowledge of Kafka or other event-streaming technologies
• Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, or observability tools
• Basic understanding of machine learning workflows and collaboration with data science teams
• Experience in the automotive, leasing, vehicle pricing, or remarketing industry

📍 Work Format

Hybrid role based in Warsaw, Poland.
Working from the client's office 3 days per week
