What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize online services and tools to enhance multiplayer gameplay.
• Collaborate with game designers to integrate engaging online features.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges within the online services architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Research and integrate emerging industry technologies to inform project directions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Online Engineer on AAA titles.
• Expertise in networking technologies, including client-server architectures and matchmaking.
• Strong C++ programming skills and experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions such as AWS or Azure.
• Must be based in or able to work from Royal Leamington Spa.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of APIs and web services, specifically PlayFab or similar platforms.
• Experience with DevOps processes and methodologies.
